Is North Korea Serving God’s Purpose?
In recent months North Korea’s Kim Jong Un has stepped up his rhetoric about the development of long range nuclear missiles, capable of reaching the shores of the United States. He has launched medium range missiles off the coast of Japan on at least two occasions this year, and has boasted he has a submarine vessel which has fired a test missile, which is capable of delivering a strike on his foes anywhere in the world. In February of this year, North Korea launched their second satellite used for guiding long range nuclear payloads and jamming US nuclear defenses, so the ability to back up their threats is seemingly in place. The only thing preventing an attack directly on the US is having the accuracy and the long range ability in place. Kim Jong Un’s adversarial relationship with the US and its allies are based on his nuclear ambitions coupled with the retaliatory economic sanctions imposed by the UN, that have been promoted by the US and her allies. It has also been driven by Un’s desire to be taken seriously on the global stage as a major player, as his father and grandfather did before him. Un has taken the adversarial relationship with the US, Japan, and South Korea to a new level of vitriol and tension. Kim Jong Un has been unfazed by sanctions, in fact they have only served to motivate him to move ahead with the nation’s nuclear program. The tough rhetoric of Donald Trump during the election and since coming to office has provoked more demonstrations from North Korea, which has provoked the United States to send heavy weaponry and manpower into the area. Now North Korea has become a powder keg, and by all appearances, waiting to explode, with nuclear weapons.
While these actions appear very ominous, and cause for all to be concerned, I am seeking what is really going on in accordance with God’s plan. North Korea is never mentioned specifically in the Bible prophetically. It didn’t exist as such at the time the Bible was written. The closest one could identify it with is the Kings of the East spoken of in Revelation. However, from a global perspective, North Korea is going it alone, and that insistence on being a rogue would appear to serve God’s purposes in His prophetic plan. Just as God used World War II to motivate and gather the Jews to Israel, when they vowed “Never again” (see The Miraculous Return of the Jews), God could be using the loner, North Korea, to unify the other major nations in Asia, into the confederation of the Kings of the East spoken of in Revelation and referenced in Daniel. Revelation 16:12 “And the sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates; and its water was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” Daniel 11:44 “But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him (Antichrist): therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.”
The global movement and positioning spoken of in Daniel is moving very quickly now, especially in the west, i.e. Britain’s Brexit, Trump as president, the new French president, Trudeau in Canada, the shake up in Turkey, and many more. The convergence of all this geopolitical movement is coming into play so keep your eye on it. The prophetic watch is for the emergence of the Ten Kings, leading to the emergence of the Antichrist on the global stage. I trust that because we do not see any prophetic evidence in the Bible of a nuclear show down destroying the players involved with this latest conflict, it is not a crucial detail in God’s end times plan. I would suggest that it is, apart from getting the Kings of the East to form an alliance or confederation. If some nuclear action takes place, it will be ended very quickly and it is not what the downfall of the United States looks like. Elisha’s Outcast Eagles have identified the United States as “The Raiser of Taxes” spoken of in Daniel 11. The Bible says this about the “Raiser of Taxes” Daniel 11:20 “he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.” Therefore, a skirmish with North Korea will not be the undoing of the United States as the superpower in the World. Much of the undoing of the US is already done, in terms of our economic pre-eminence in the world. That occurred in 2008 with the housing crisis. Our continued status of power has been eroded and any insistence we continue to enjoy the top global position is exaggerated. We are completely dependant on the global economy and at the mercy of it in many ways. This is one piece in the setup for the Antichrist (one-world) system to be employed by the coming confederation of the Ten Kings, which is the next inception of the coming Antichrist Kingdom. AP – May 01, 2017 – “Japan’s navy has dispatched its largest destroyer reportedly tasked with escorting U.S. military ships off the Japanese coast amid heightened tension on the Korean Peninsula. The helicopter carrier Izumo departed the Yokosuka port near Tokyo earlier Monday.”
AP – May 1, 2017 – Residents living near U.S. military bases in Japan are facing a fresh reality: Their neighborhoods are on the frontline of North Korea’s dispute with America and if Pyongyang were to attack they would have just minutes to shelter from incoming missiles. “It’s impossible. There is no way we can run away from it,” said Seijiro Kurosawa, a 58-year-old taxi driver in Fussa, near Yokota Air Base. “We don’t have bunkers, shelters or anything like that.”
Japan and South Korea are working closely with the United States in military exercises to take defensive measures against North Korea’s potential aggression. In the biggest show of naval force since World War II, Japan is deploying war ships in defense of their nation. South Korea has been working jointly with the United States since the end of the Korean war to protect their borders from the North’s ambitions of reunifying the nation under a communist regime. It only remains to be seen if China will add their military forces into the equation to persuade North Korea to give up their ambitions of attacking the US and our allies. China has already imposed some mild sanctions on North Korea to encourage them to back away from their stance on nuclear weapons and military aggression in the region.
The annual Trilateral Summit Meeting of the three nations, South Korea, China, and Japan has been in place since December of 2008. It was formed to promote cooperation in the regional economies, trade, and to promote regional peace and stability, which is in the interest of all three nations as the economic leaders of Asia. India is an up and comer economically, but as yet does not share all their interests. China’s envoy to the Summit urged the other two nations not to be influenced by outside interests with a “cold war” mentality that could impede their progress in strengthening the regional stability. It is not a stretch to interpret this as the influence or interference of the United States and the Western allies. Until recently, the divisions between the 3 countries ran deep, dating back to ancient times but exacerbated during WWII when Japan invaded and occupied both China and South Korea. The wounds from the war are still deeply felt and borders are still in dispute in the Sea of Japan and over a number of islands in the Pacific. These continued disputes have kept the region divided and tense since the WWII ended. This is all stated to point out that it is a miracle these parties can meet and agree on anything. It took a rogue like North Korea to motivate them and the power of interdependent economies to bring these nations together for a mutually beneficial agreement. A new confederation is being forged in Asia, possibly making up the contingent of the Kings of the East. Will others join this Trilateral agreement? It is quite possible India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Myanmar could be added later. Or they could be absorbed in some way into a single Eastern economic grouping. But the other nations mentioned outside of the “Trilateral” will not hold any significant military presence apart from the prospect of India, as a nuclear player and as a military presence in it’s current level of economic and military strength.

Where is this all heading? To the ultimate showdown at Armageddon. The Kings of the East will join with the antichrist in the ultimate battle against God himself when the King of Kings comes with the host of heaven to destroy all the unrighteous in war. As it stands, I do not personally fear nuclear war as the ultimate horror, but I do fear being on the wrong side of Armageddon, the ultimate battle. Make your election sure and join with the side that wins in the end, Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Rev. 16:12-16
