The Three Voices of Sin: Intro Part 1
Sin is that which is in opposition to God, knowingly or otherwise. Continued opposition to God triggers the process that inevitably ends in a descent into perdition, unless reversed. Sin and its resultant opposition courts disaster, disaster breeds defeat, defeat leads to our demise and demise is death. Death is produced like a product rolling off an automated factory line, produced one step, one procedure, one act at a time by the technicians of sin: The Flesh, The World and The Demonic. The product at the end of the line is ‘The Second Death’ – something no person desires, if they only knew what it really entails. If the Second Death is what our life has produced we are wrapped and imprisoned by death – body, soul and spirit – in solitary confinement in the pit, forever. Unabated by the mercy of God, sin develops in every person by the forces weighing upon them. Sin naturally leads in a methodical logical way to the irreversible death.
Death’s second demand is the all-conclusive judgment. If Second Death has no claim on our soul then we shall live. If Second Death owns us then we are doomed. No one should want this for anyone. We like sheep have all gone astray. Each man drifts into his own depravity, shaped and formed by his own personal sin, that personal sin which he, and he alone must take responsibility for allowing to take shape and come into reality. This potential for sin finds root in us when we listen to the voices of opposition which are working and grinding away in unholy combination upon our soul and spirit – The Flesh, The World and The Demonic. Sin becomes actualized when the hearer of the voices of sin puts them into practice and they become realities. Jesus’ half-brother James put it this way – “every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.” James 1:14-15 In other words: the voices speak to tempt us, when we allow ourselves to be enticed into going along with them our lust gives them birth and when sin is born it is given life and that living presence of the cancer of sin produces death. We are first drawn away by the tempting voices speaking to our general lust for all things that are self and selfish.
The Antichrist spirit seeks to win a stronghold on us and in us. The voices of sin, as antichrist agents, are at work night and day for the singular purpose of drawing us to sin so we are separated from God. These agents are focused like no man can be. The voices of sin are in collusion with the antichrist spirit at all times. They do not sleep or rest. When sin is sown in us the Antichrist Spirit reaps the fruit by creating in man reliance and faith in antichrist ways. Antichrist is able to use these three primary foes, which are always at enmity with God, to channel sin into us and thereby gain dominance and power over our lives and actions. Sin is a desperate thing. It breeds only desperados. We are in a desperate way. The only one able to resist sin’s power successfully on our behalf is God; Jesus the only man who successfully withstood every onslaught and never gave in to the voices of sin. Jesus said take hope because I have overcome the World. We know He overcame the temptations of Satan in the wilderness and ultimately when he trod up the hill to the Cross. He washes the power of sin and the works of our flesh away when we dunk under His life-giving blood which He shed for the forgiveness of man’s sin. We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us – if we will let Him be our champion and Savior. He has bought us with a price and we are no longer our own, as God’s Word teaches us. We do not belong to ourselves, but we are His, as long as we accept His atoning blood for our personal sin we will remain so.
The three realms and voices of sin in a person, when not overcome by Christ, makes one a person continually available for Antichrist use and will lead to the destruction of a soul. The Antichrist spirit counts on sin being sown in man. These voices of sin dictate our actions, they are the effective go-betweens that mortgage our soul and give Satan ownership of our immortal spirit. This reality of sin in a person ensures that they will share his fate. These influences have powerful voices (The Flesh, The World and The Demonic), unrelenting in their persuasion and doctrines. Each has a different doctrine, a separate field of influence and a dark and high dais from which its preaching may be heard in our soul. Each has a source and an elaborate sound system of its own, uniquely spiritual and entirely its own style. Each voice communes with the subject in a personal way. We all come to hear and obey, though we may not give the voices names or identify them exactly the moment they are speaking to our heart, but they make themselves known and heard, often in a subconscious sort of way. But this should not make us believe they are not extremely effective in their power to persuade. This trio of sin comprises the original wireless system, always present and constantly broadcasting across or through any earthly material substance: stone brick, iron, clay, lead, water, flesh, and blood – you name it. They are broadcast in ‘sound waves’ (if you will) audible to the spiritual ear, but audible nonetheless, make no mistake. They work in conjunction under Satanic urgings to advance the cause of the Antichrist spirit in the heart and soul of every man, woman, and child. A brief introductory discussion of the three voices of sin is provided below.
THE FLESH
The Flesh is the voice of our self, our ego. It voices such things as our fears, faithless doubts, unbelief and mistrusting accusations against God. It encourages our thirst and lust for the tactile, material things of this vain and fading ‘reality’. The flesh, believing fanatically that this is the only path to happiness through the pleasures of the flesh and the belly, will do anything to procure them and hold on to the free flow of their delights. Why else would the boudoirs and casinos be open all night, why would the donut shops be on every street corner, or the fitness centers, beauty shops, sports stadiums and doctors offices be doing a land office business? The Flesh lies to us about what happiness is, telling us that our flesh holds the key to a full and gratifying life. But the flesh is more than this.
The flesh is our ego, our self, and all things conducted about self as the number one concern in our puny personal universe. The EOE has three separate pages, FEAR, SELF (ego) and LUST devoted to the expression of Flesh. Roughly these might be said to correspond to our composite being as human beings – body, soul and spirit. Human beings are subject to these influences of fear, ego and lust which they acquire through life’s earliest and simplest experiences. We do not have to think about them or learn them; they are our natural response to life’s rudimentary experiences which can only be changed, healed and reversed by the effective personal influence of the Spirit of God Himself. The love of ourselves, this fearful ego and lust, this love of self is clothed in a suit of bodily flesh. Combined, this makeup acts like the superhero Iron Man’s charmed suit, having power to convince us that the supply of all our carnal needs is necessary for success and happiness in life, thus, we cannot live without fear, ego and lust, We do not think about these things, we just accept them as being the guardians of our welfare. But, the only thing we are forced to do is to live a bankrupt and anxious life. We respect and rely on this suit of flesh and try to shape it and forge it into impenetrable armor without even knowing we are doing this. We are slaves to the Flesh. Forced to wear a cartoon costume fabricated by fantasy.
Our suit of flesh talks back constantly, arguing against reality, defying common sense, ridiculing God. Yet God says we should care more for spiritual things rather than those of the Flesh. Man must have his spiritual needs addressed and redressed if he is to find life.
THE WORLD
The “Flesh” is part of us and it is how we connect with the ‘World’. We are forced to be in constant negotiation with it, for it holds the cards in most of our dealing with it. We therefore seek to outsmart it and make deals with it when we can. Unlike the Flesh, the World is not part of us, but it is always around. Contrary to humanistic nonsense, the World cares not a fig for any human being. We interface with the World as if it were an adversary to be subdued. This is why we are engaging in these last days as if it were our enemy. The world of which we speak is not just the sphere upon which we live, but it has a spirit, a ‘mind’ to borrow the knowledge of the philosophers and modern Psychologists like Hegel, C.J Jung and Sigmund Freud. It has its own collective conscience – powerful, suggestive, dictatorial and persuasive. On its own the World imposes rules upon us, dictates our like and dislikes, cajoles us into not believing in God but only that which has to do with corporeal Mankind and the sciences of physics and what can be seen and touched, held and used as devices for our local uses as human beings on the third stone from the sun. The World suggests action and reaction to our soul all on its terms, keeping us confined to the physical, posting ‘do not enter’ concerning those ethereal matters which require spiritual telescopes if one is to peer into the realities of unseen things.
Therefore, we walk in only what our eyes can see, limiting our body and soul to an exaggerated, unreal existence. Our spirit remains in a coma, in an inert state, unborn. We press flesh with the World, we never know the difference for we have no way of comparing the true to the false. The World trots out its brand of religion, its police force of politics and its gospel of humanism and bullies our soul into concession. It speaks to us chattel through the five senses of the Flesh. We are obligated and indebted to it because it gives us experiences that tickle our fancies of fear, ego and lust. It gives us just enough to keep us addicted, coming back for more. It always gives us the song and dance that things will get better that our ship will come in, that though our train will not make it to the station, there is a gravy train on the way and we be provided a ticket and shall shortly be on it.
Our ham and egg philosophers claim to give us empirical knowledge that will arm us with truth, as if the World cared about truth. But the World is a prime teacher unto itself. It does not talk, but it shows us the ways the Flesh operates and what should be embraced and avoided. The World is our teacher about how the Flesh must behave, and it must conform to its religion, its politics, its humanistic credos. We are guaranteed life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness if we will play by its rules, we will get what we need and more. The World is always reminding Man that it is his provider and caretaker; that one should never bite the hand that feeds it.
The Antichrist lives in the World and tries to subdue the World, as a hunter might subdue a beast of prey. Antichrist uses the World as an object of Flesh’s lust to make man captive to the devices of sin. Sin’s greatest object and sole purpose is to separate the human soul from God. The human soul is separated from all fleshly beasts by not only higher reason but noble things like integrity, compassion, remorse, forgiveness and repentance. The World tends to seek its own revenge. The Flesh under the influence and domination of the World does not have the nobility that is possible in the soul of Man when it has conceded to the Divine Spirit of Jesus Christ in God. God says of the World…
“Come out from among them and be ye separate and touch not the unclean thing, and I will be your God and you will be my children.” 2 Cor. 6:17
If the term had been coined at that time, the Bible would have called the World’s gospel, “humanism.”
For the World peddles its own brand of love. It is quite generic, deluded. It must be approved by Man; lately it has become closely identified with the tyranny of political correctness, the stirrings of loud perverse voices, the drunken thinking of the self intoxicated masses. The World glorifies the winners and degrades the losers. It glorifies one thing, then touts the opposite depending on which way the wind is blowing at the moment. Despite God’s open declaration that the World is a transient and false suitor of Man, a place we should avoid being entangled by; the voice of the World insists that it is the real path to happiness. It pressures one to believe that without compliance with its commands and full acquisition of its essential benefits Man’s life is doomed to failure, his happiness out the window. We reach for its brass ring according to the standards set by the World. If one does not belong to the World and play by its rules then they are relegated to a pariah status, with no chance of happiness. Everyone is told they must have a place to belong, and belonging begins with compliance to the World’s precepts.
The Bible tells believers to think of themselves as sojourners who do not have a secure and lasting place in the World, nor could they ever have a lasting home in it. Living in Christ they can come to terms with the fact that they have no eternal home in this World. They can realize they do not belong. They must reach out to God’s hand. “Please Oh God, Don’t be long!. Come and take us to our heavenly home, a place built not with hammers and saws, but by your hands, Oh Lord.”
The World will persecute and berate anyone who does not want to pay the price of membership to be a citizen of the World. Who can become detached? Even though God says to strive to be separated from the World and come into his ‘Church’ (Ekklesia: Church, meaning, the separated assembled ones). God says this is when He becomes our God and we His sons and daughters. The World is a prostitute calling us to come live with it in spiritual fornication; which is adultery of the heart and soul. It might not be so, except God has said that we are to come about, turn and be separate and live with Him in the Spirit. Do not cozy up to the World which only seduces and lies, just so it may win us away from the Will of God and that godliness that the World so despises.
The World has its own ways, self devised by many clever disciples through the ages of civilization. They are the Magi and Buddhists, the Libertarians and philosophers, the Greeks and Roman poets, the Imams and the leaders of state and cult leaders who are the movers and shakers of the World Spirit. The World has its own vision of righteousness that does not conform to God’s ideas, nor does the World care to conform to God. The World is the Antichrist’s podium and loves to provide him that pulpit. The World is exactly like the notorious friend who pretends to be a friend, but really has a hidden agenda to use people for his own selfish end. The World wants to own me, dominate me and lead me into the iron grip of the Antichrist, the World will shortly be in his iron grip itself, though it is more than a willing weapon in his hands. The World is the Antichrist’s dais, his stage, his website and mouthpiece and ultimately, his institution, the throne upon which he sits and rules. He uses it as a cudgel to smash in the brains of those who reside in it and they end up witless, under his spell, totally submissive.
It should be no surprise that Revelation 13 symbolically depicts the person of the Antichrist rising out of it, the World depicted as a sea of mankind. The World is his seductress used to lure us into a strangle hold so Man can be kept prisoner ‘til doomsday.
THE DEMONIC
The Demonic voice is more subtle than the Flesh or the World in both competition and subtilty. Often it disguises itself as a proponent of the Flesh or a good citizen of the spirit of the World. Of the three unscrupulous foes of the Holy Ghost and God, Demonic forces led by Stan are by far the most sinister and devious. The only thing close to being comparable is the heart of man itself, of which it is said in the Scripture: ”The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jer. 17:9
Demonic forces of Satan often mimic the voice of God, putting on the air as an ‘angel of light’. They are the real life Wizard of Oz hiding behind a curtain of fabulous falsity, imposing their promises of anything and everything to anyone whether they are listening or no. Whatever suits their purpose, and there are no scruples, for the Demonic voices are cleverer by far than the other discordant voice trying to lure Man away from God. Their stock-in-trade are the very essence of the character of their master, Satan – pride, arrogance and deception.
Satan and his demons are the brains behind the operation to build a mighty stronghold in a person, keeping them from God and persuading them that this is the only avenue open to them to fulfill their true natures. The Flesh is the initial connection by which Antichrist’s destiny can reach in and make openings in the soul of a person. The World is the hook- man is seduced by her glitter and the supply she offers for the craving of empirical things and the ingesting of the food that nourishes the carnal earthly five senses. Demonic voices give power and meaning to the delusions of the other two voices. They are the liars, the doctrinaires, the demonic voices are the priests of sin to justify carnality and ordain it as wisdom of life. Demon voices back us with powerful teachings and proven experience that the lures of this life and its voices work, fulfill and give pleasure to the soul. They tempt us in the spiritual realm to believe lies and to defy the declared ways of God which have been established since the world began.
These voices work in conjunction with one another to connect, seduce and propel every man and woman along the Antichrist Way. All humans are connected in the World by falling into sin through the lusts of the flesh, the neurosis of the egotistic eyes of self and the haughtiness of the pride of life. “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” 1 John 2:16 Our guilt encourages us to throw our lot in with the World because we are compelled by egotism to be freed from the curses and harmful shames of guilt; by anointing ourselves with the snake oil of self-justification, we try to exonerate ourselves. We justify ourselves by belonging to that crowd of the nebulous everybody, that scapegoat group that gathers at every crossroad of life. It is the recognition of them that caresses the ego and soothes the soul of the creature which God named Man. Inside there is the heart where sin has etched a defiant tattoo: “Can everyone be wrong!” The words ‘Fear’, ‘Ego’ and ‘Lust’ are tattooed on the darkside, on the back of the heart where the soul cannot see. It nevertheless argues; argues with each pulsating beat of the heart, heard and known only miraculously and occasionally through God’s great mercy to the conscious mind. Otherwise, this tattoo and its voice does not rest, but bullies, intimidates and harrrasses the subconscious soul. All the while the spirit of that soul sits bound and gagged in the dark basement of the flesh of Man. Only the Spirit of God can free it, deliver it unbound to our conscious soul where it may commune with God, speak freely to the soul and bring thought and Will into action. And God will judge us by the things which we bring into being, that which we do. They shall decide our fate.
These things, Fear, Lust, Ego, being ingrained, woven, and transfused into our life, with these things at the switchboard of our actions we are doomed to be castaways. The Antichrist gains not merely a foothold, but a stronghold in a person. It is Friedrich Nietzsche’s Will to Power, and he proclaimed that he had killed God. He was right, though it was only in himself that he had killed God. God cannot be killed. But sin kills God within a soul and it uses the power of Fear, Ego and Lust to do the murdering of life itself. The wisdom of the Book of Ecclesiastes informs the heart of this profound truth: “This one thing I know. God has created man upright but he has sought out many inventions.” The three voices of sin not only promote death and ignorance, but they teach and serve the soul of man with ideas and notions of countless inventions that are leading to death and Hell. Within the pages of the Seduction the readers of the Outcast Eagles Website can find particulars of these inventions of the Flesh, of Satan and of the World. We hope they can help our readers in identifying the particulars and the subtleties of these mortal enemies of ours.
